Summary 
Aviation business is one of those fields of businesses that are going through a rapid transformation of both business models as well as global new competition rules. New technologies, the customer driven business model focus and growing passenger and cargo volumes along with the high impact of aviation to global GDP bring the need for new actors, new competences and new talents into the industry.

This course gives you the basic knowledge, key actors and current trends transforming the aviation business environment. This course will also enhance your understanding the uniqueness of aviation business expressions, rules and regulations against the other mainstream businesses.

The aviation business course includes two training days, where you will learn the essentials of aviation business environment including key stakeholders through current case studies and team work.
The course is in English.

About the coaches
Anne Koppatz has more than 20 years of experience from aviation business covering such fields as human resources, internal training, and service quality development. She has been deeply involved in developing the Aviation Business Programme at Haaga-Helia University of Applied sciences, where she currently acts as senior lecturer in the Aviation Business Programme including the Master’s degree Programme within Tourism and Aviation. She holds a Licentiate of philosophy (educ.) degree from The University of Helsinki. Anne has a passion for Aviation business education development and Service quality. She is recognized for her excellent Aviation industry connections.

 

 

 

Pekka Polvinen has more than 25 years of experience from various senior management and business development positions both from Finland and abroad. He has worked more than 10 years within airport related industries and has hands on experience from airports in Finland, Sweden, and the Netherlands.

He currently acts as principal lecturer in the Aviation Business Programme including the Master’s degree Programme within Tourism and Aviation at the Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences. He has also been deeply involved in developing the Aviation Business Programme at Haaga-Helia. Pekka holds a Licentiate degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Turku. He has also a professional management degree from Harvard Business School (Boston, USA). He has a passion for sales, marketing, and business development in Aviation Business.
