Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences

Haaga-Helia is the largest hospitality and tourism business educator in Scandinavia, where students can study Bachelor’s degree programmes and Master’s degree programmes. Altogether Haaga-Helia offers 40 Bachelor’s degree programmes out of which 8 are delivered in English. Among these the The degree programme in Hospitality, Tourism and Experience Management is going to be the reference programme for launching degree study cooperation with EBS.

The Haaga-Helia degree programme in Hospitality, Tourism and Experience Management provides students competencies for one of the world’s most dynamic and leading socio-economic sectors. There are three fields of expertise offered: Hotel Management, Restaurant Management, and Tourism Management (Competitive Destination & Developing Transportation, Travel agency and Event Management Business)
The programme provides students with numerous learning opportunities that help them to prepare for management careers in Finland and abroad. The programme takes a unique approach and offers a modular curriculum with knowledge, skills and attitudes critical to an ever competitive environment.

Co-operation with EBS Open University

At the present stage the degree study cooperation means Haaga-Helia supporting EBS degree programme delivery by providing specific hospitality field input. In the autumn of 2015 EBS students are going to be delivered lectures on Coaching (3 ECTS) at EBS Helsinki Campus. Next spring Service Design lectures (12 ECTS) will follow.

For the future developments concerning the degree study cooperation the subjects of Hotel Operations Management, Brand Management, Innovations and Big Data have been discussed.
